David Carter
David’s professional experience is primarily a mix of serving as a small business operator and private equity investor. For the past six years, he has held several roles investing in private companies across a variety of industries. During that time, he worked closely with the business leaders and served as a board member, helping to create and implement strategic initiatives.
David also founded and served as CEO of an online sales and marketing business. There, he oversaw all aspects of operations, including raising capital, building a team and setting the strategic direction of the company.
David started his career as an analyst in JP Morgan’s investment banking group. He then joined Del Monte Foods, where he worked on various brand initiatives and new product launches.
When he isn’t working, David enjoys spending time in the mountains, cooking and following college football. He is an active mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
David is a graduate of Rice University, where he earned a bachelor of arts in Economics and played offensive tackle on the football team. He also holds an MBA from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business.
